GRAVHOUNDS Multiplayer, Crossplay & Local Co-op

At a glance

GRAVHOUNDS supports solo play and co-op for up to four players. Xbox console and Xbox PC can play together; Steam uses a separate multiplayer pool.

Who can play together?

Group Can play together?
Steam players Yes, through Steam multiplayer
Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC Yes
Steam and Xbox Not in the announced setup

Crossplay across Xbox console and Xbox PC does not mean Steam players can join the same lobby. Agree on your platform group before arranging a session.

Player count and lobbies

The game is designed for 1–4 players. For online co-op, one player hosts the session using a listen server.

You can browse and join public sessions, host a public game, or host a friends-only game. There is no automatic quick-match system that immediately puts you in a random group.

Can you skip the tutorial?

In the Demo, multiplayer can skip the tutorial and jump in from the main menu. Single-player requires the tutorial. See the tutorial objectives if you are starting alone.

Local co-op and split screen

The Xbox Game Preview listing includes Shared/split screen. Its separate Online co-op (2–4) label is an online player count, not a local player count.

Local player count, supported device combinations and the second-player joining process are not specified. Steam Demo local co-op should not be assumed from the Xbox listing.

Is Xbox Play Anywhere the same as crossplay?

No. The Xbox listing includes both Play Anywhere and Xbox cross-platform co-op. They are separate features; the crossplay grouping above is what matters when deciding who can join your game.
