Before your first drop
Solo play in the Demo requires the tutorial. Multiplayer offers a skip option. The objective sequence below helps you keep track of what each stage is teaching.
Building and resources
| Objective | What it introduces |
|---|---|
| Set up the landing zone | Begin a pipeline at the Collector. |
| Connect the pipeline | Link infrastructure to the Collector network. |
| Build a Fabricator | Place the Fabricator and connect it to the pipeline. |
| Collect resources | Mine material and deliver it to the processing system. |
| Set up defenses | Buy a turret Build Kit from the Fabricator, place it and connect it. |
The Fabricator is the construction starting point. A placed kit and a working connected building are different stages, so watch the current objective as you move from placement to connection.
Drone view and repairs
The tutorial introduces drone view to help you survey the area; enemies are highlighted in red.
After the first wave, a damaged turret introduces another use for the mining laser: repair. The tool is used for more than extracting minerals.
Preparing the Collector for launch
When the repair stage is complete, the tutorial moves to a launch terminal. Starting launch begins a preparation period and another defense phase around the Collector.
Keep track of the launch prompts while defending. Preparing the ship and getting aboard are separate objectives; clearing enemies alone is not the entire sequence.
Where to go next
Use multiplayer and crossplay to plan a group session, characters to compare utility abilities, or Kilnfield puzzle hints when the refinery controls become your next obstacle.
